There’s increasing evidence that where there’s low awareness and take up of colorectal cancer screening, too many people are dying from the disease. This is an especially serious challenge in Europe’s black communities – and a key focus for our long term partners, the NGO Global Healthcare Projects.

Inspired by a proven US model, GHP are setting out to overcome the barriers of fear and mistrust often associated with healthcare engagement by deploying mobile education and screening units directly into black communities across Europe. The campaign launched in Portugal this Autumn and is already well on the way to providing a new robust, evidence-based model for CRC screening and education. This is now ready to be scaled across Europe and extended to other regions of the world grappling with low screening adoption rates. Denhams’ partnership with GHP, as the project’s strategic and creative architects, has been integral from the project’s inception.
